Show Format The Pilot Episode Watch Clips Underwriter Opportunities The Producers Contact

Our pilot episode addresses the question: “Is it better just because it’s local?” During each course we peel back another layer in the “local is better” argument and see who bites.

The cast of the pilot episode includes: Nell Newman, president of Newman’s Own Organics, Joan Gussow, author of numerous books including This Organic Life, Jon Bansen, an Oregon dairy farmer with Organic Valley, Duane Sorenson, owner of Portland-based Stumptown Coffee, and a good friend of the producers, Bob Mckeehen. And, as always, our host Deborah Kane makes sure the wine glasses stay full and the conversation keeps flowing.

In the kitchen,
Leather Storrs of Noble Rot Restaurant and Wine Bar is joined by Marco Shaw, owner of Fife, David Machado, owner of Lauro Kitchen and Vindalho, and Jenn Louis, owner of Culinary Artistry.  For the pilot episode, Leather prepares a sensational three-course holiday meal using local Northwest ingredients sourced from within 100 miles of the kitchen.

DVDs of the pilot episode are available
for $10, including shipping and handling. Simply send us an email and we’ll get a DVD + invoice in the mail. When you get it, might we suggest you host a potluck and watch it with friends?! We bet the show will spark lots of interesting discussion.
